Rebecca Nurse, who is an icon in the community, is dying with him. Proctor's land will be taken from him and sold at a lower price if he goes ahead with his confession after Danforth and Parris.
In my opinion,I liked this Act because it was very emotional and it always kept you on your toes till the very end. It also shows that it is best to preserve the family name ,“Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life!”

This performance was one of my favorites since it was full of passion and kept you guessing until the very end.
