1. profession of faith, i’m pretty sure it states “There is no God but God and Muhammad is his prophet.” it’s the most fundamental expression in Islamic beliefs

2. daily prayers, muslim’s are expected to pray 5 times a day. muslims can pray anywhere but they are meant to pray towards Mecca. on fridays, many muslims attend a mosque.

3. giving or “alms,” it’s not defined in the Qu’ran but muslims believe that they are meant to share wealth with those less fortunate

4. fasting during Ramadan, during the holy month of Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic calendar, muslims are expected to fast from dawn to dusk but exceptions are made for those who are sick, elderly, pregnant, or on their menstrual cycle

5. pilgrimage to mecca, all muslims who are able to are required to make the pilgrimage to mecca and the surfing holy sites at least once in their life. pilgrimage focuses on visiting the Kaaba and walking around it seven times.
