Biography Of Jefferson

The author of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 in Shadwell, Virginia. Jefferson was born into one of the most prominent families in Virginia. His mother, Jane Randolph Jefferson, was a member of the Randolph clan from England and Scotland. His father, Peter Jefferson, was a successful farmer, skilled surveyor and maker of the first accurate maps of Virginia. Jefferson had five siblings: two older sisters, two younger sisters and a younger brother.

As a child, Thomas Jefferson loved playing in the woods, practicing the violin and reading. His formal education began at the age of 9, where he learned Latin and Greek at a local private school run by the Reverend William Douglas. In 1757, at the age of 14 he took up the study of languages and classical literature and mathematics with the Reverend James Maury. In 1760, Jefferson entered the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, the capital of Virginia.

After three years at the College of William and Mary, Jefferson decided to study law under Wythe, one of the leading attorneys in the American colonies. Wythe guided Jefferson for five years so that by the time Jefferson entered the Virginia government in 1767, he was already one of the most learned attorneys in America. During 1767-1774, Jefferson practiced law in Virginia and won many major cases. As a "secret member" of Congress, Jefferson drafted the United States' most famous Declaration of Independence worldwide.

Jefferson succeeded Benjamin Franklin as U.S. ambassador to France in 1785. Sympathy for the French Revolution brought him into conflict with Alexander Hamilton when he was Secretary of State in Washington's Presidential Cabinet. He resigned in 1793. Through a blemish in the Constitution, he became Vice President, despite a brief disagreement with President Adams.

By the time Jefferson took office, the crisis in France had passed. He slashed the spending of the Army and Navy, slashed the budget, eliminated taxes on whiskey that were wildly unpopular in the West, and succeeded in reducing the national debt by a third. He also sent a naval squadron to fight the Barbary pirates, who frequently paralyzed American commerce in the Mediterranean. During his second term as President of the US, he was increasingly busy taking care of various issues between countries and domestic politics. Following this, Jefferson retired to Monticello to think about projects such as a grand design for the University of Virginia. He died on July 4, 1826.

Answer:

Explanation:

Answer: B. Mexico

Explanation: During the 1990s, many U.S. industries began to relocate to Mexico. The reasons for this are many, including lower labor costs, trade agreements, and access to new markets. Mexico's proximity to the United States and its large and growing market made it an attractive destination for U.S. companies. Also, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) signed in 1994 between Canada, Mexico, and the United States, made it easier for U.S. companies to invest in Mexico and export their products back to the U.S. market. Panama, Columbia, and San Salvador are different countries but they were not the main destinations for U.S. industries during the 1990s.

One scribe and One illuminator is the correct answer.

The Latin words "manus" (hand) and "scripts," which mean "written by hand," are the origins of the word "manuscript." Before printing, copies of books had to be written in by hand. Using a quill pen and ink, a scribe would purchase a copy of a book and meticulously write out each word. The Latin word "illuminare," which means "lit up," is the origin of the word "illuminated." In order for a book to really shine, it needs to be adorned with gold. Pages were typically covered with gold leaf in extremely thin sheets. Medieval b were embellished with intricate borders, opulent chapter letters, and even exquisite full-page paintings, which were referred to as miniatures. These adornments were used to illustrate the text and direct readers through it. Because many people in the medieval era couldn't read, even those who held manuscripts, the images were especially important. In the early Middle Ages, illuminated manuscripts were only created by monks. Monasteries served as the primary educational institutions prior to the establishment of universities. He wants life to be frozen in time, like the exhibit cases at the museum. The museum depicts the world Holden wants he could live in: it’s the world of his “catcher in the rye” fantasies, where nothing ever changes and everything is clear, straightforward, and boundless. In a command economy, sometimes referred to as a planned economy, all economic operations are planned, coordinated, and under the direct supervision of the central government in order to maximise societal welfare. As contrast to free-market economies, command economies do not let market forces like supply and demand control production or prices. Today's free-market economies rarely adhere to the laissez-faire philosophy in its entirety. A government may utilise laws and rules to promote the manufacture of a certain good, like fuel-efficient vehicles. Additionally, the control in some command economies has loosened. When was Martin Luther King Day first officially celebrated in the United States?
King helped to lead what boycott in Montgomery, Alabama?
When did the MLK Memorial open in Washington D.C.?
Why do you think Martin Luther King supported non-violent protest? Why do you think non-violent protests are effective?

Answers

Martin Luther King Day was first officially celebrated in the United States in 1986.

King helped to lead the Montgomery Bus Boycott in Montgomery, Alabama, which was a protest against the racial segregation of the city's buses. The boycott lasted for over a year, from December 1, 1955 to December 20, 1956.

The MLK Memorial opened in Washington D.C. on August 22, 2011

Martin Luther King supported non-violent protest because he believed in the power of peaceful resistance to bring about change. He was inspired by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and the civil rights movement in India, and believed that non-violent protests were the best way to challenge the unjust system of racial segregation and discrimination in the United States.

Non-violent protests are effective because they can bring attention to the issue at hand, generate public sympathy for the cause, and create pressure on the government and society to make changes. Non-violent protests also avoid the potential escalation of violence that can come with more confrontational methods of protest. They allow the message to be heard and focused on, rather than the violence that can come with it, which makes it easier for the people to understand the cause and join it.

In general, the Neutrality Acts were  prohibiting the export of “arms, ammunition, and implements of war”.

After World War I, the United States of America sought to make it abundantly clear to the rest of the world that it would not intervene. Since they made no distinction between aggressor and victim, treated both equally as belligerents, and limited the US government's ability to assist Britain and France against Nazi Germany, the Neutrality Acts' legacy is widely regarded as having been generally negative.

In the end, the terms of the Neutrality Acts became irrelevant once the United States joined the Allies in the fight against Nazi Germany and Japan in December 1941.
