In the book The Outsiders, what is Cherry's point of view on why did Johhny kill Bobby?
Cheri Valance, a société in The Outsiders, thinks that killing Johnny Bob was a self-defense move. Cherry tells Ponyboy that Bob, with the help of his friends, attempted to drown Ponyboy in a fountain while he was driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. In self-defense, Johnny, who was with Ponyboy at the time, stabs Bob with his switchblade, killing him.
Cherry's point of view differs from that of Bob's parents and the other Socs who seek justice on Johnny and Ponyboy and the other Greasers for Bob's death.
