Answers

Answer:

The answer is ASL interpreters translate the words of songs.

How live concerts become accessible for people?

Many venues now offer American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for concerts, which allows deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to fully enjoy the music and performances.

Closed captioning technology has also been implemented, where lyrics and other information are displayed on a screen in real-time during the performance. In addition, assistive listening devices such as hearing loops and FM systems are available to help those with hearing loss better hear the music and other sounds during the concert.

Can someone help me with these two questions? It has to do with Macbeth and Hacate!

Answers

Answer:

She could be a mentor or make commentary on Shakespeare's play, including both Lady Macbeth and Macbeth himself struggling with their moral codes and having small psychotic breakdowns, some bigger than others (Lady M literally dies).

Honestly that last one is a little tricky. She wants to help Macbeth, essentially by destroying him. Maybe that's what your teacher means? She's very confident and has a sort of complex that she controls fate, while criticizing Macbeth for his over-confidence. She says some paradoxical things and so do the witches, such as the phrase "when the battle's lost and won" meaning, technically that they both won and lost the battle, a paradox. Of course, it means the actual loss comes from casualty, but grammatically it is a paradox. Macbeth doesn't really have a clue what it means.

Explanation:

I'm sorry I could not be so definite. I love Macbeth and even performed in it two years ago. These questions are a little strange. Ha-ha! Hope this helped in some way anyhow.

What claim does McLuskie make about Shakespeare’s value? What evidence does she provide to support her claim?

Answers

Answer:

The extent of Shakespeare’s legacy 450 years on from his birth is incalculable. But this, of course, does not stop some from trying. To many the crown of Britain’s cultural output, Shakespeare is integral to our very language, widely celebrated, studied, acted, seen. So sourcing hard evidence on the cultural value of Shakespeare is a fool’s game, if a fun one.

To start with, both the words in the concept of “cultural value” are so overloaded, so controversial, that real figures for either of them are impossible to find. Are we talking about the anthropological or the aesthetic version of culture? Are we in the realm of economic use, exchange, symbolic or discursive value? And Shakespeare? Are we referencing the texts, the editions, the amateur and professional productions, or the stories, the adaptations, the movies?

The only evidence we have is about the life, writing and social relationships of the writer. And this cannot hope to explain the crazy variety of ideas and objects that shelter under the most famous name in history.

Shakespeare’s plays came to dominate the cultural production of later times by providing free content for the new theatres that opened after the theatrical lock-down of the English civil war. In their printed version, they became a point of reference for those who claimed the supremacy of English writing in contests with classical literature. They also provided useful, out of copyright, texts for the hugely expanded literature market created by universal education.

The plays’ stories of family dynamics, political conflict and personal tragedy, expressed in eloquent metaphorical poetry, provided the material for new works of political satire, children’s books, and heart-breaking romances. And the attention of critics and commentators reconfigured them as narratives of colonialism, sexual conflict, race relations and the trials of old age.

The work of performers and commentators, printers and editors, adaptors and educators all added value to the old plays and that value was consolidated and secured by amateur clubs and fan-groups. And then came along the heritage organisations and publicly funded theatre companies that continue to reproduce and advocate for “Shakespeare” to this day.

Brand analysts occasionally have fun speculating (in both senses) about the brand value of Shakespeare. But they all concede that the eye-watering sums they cite (US$562 million is the latest) would only work if the brand was owned by a commercial company.

It isn’t: as theatre companies, heritage tourist sites, festival organisers and even educators have found. The Shakespeare Institute, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Shakespeare’s Globe or the Oregon Shakespeare festival may all want to claim the Bard but they know their “Shakespeare” is only as good as the performance, experience, or master’s programme presented in his name.

So perhaps the original texts themselves could help us put a value on “Shakespeare”. Let’s say, one of the 40 remaining complete copies of the First Folio. The most recent sale of a Shakespeare Folio raised £2.5m (1m less than Sotheby’s estimate).

But that price, of course, reflects the rare book market, not the cultural value of Shakespeare. “Shakespeare” can be adopted by the book market, the iPhone case market, the tourist market or the education market but Shakespeare is always only the poster boy in markets whose value rests in the assets, labour and distribution that they use.

So the value that ensues is created by the investment of finance and labour on the part of creators, audiences, universities, or merchandise companies. The asset on which all of these depends – the texts of the plays – is freely available to anyone. It is priceless in the literal sense of having no price because it cannot be exchanged. Even a terrible “Shakespeare” product (squeaking Shakespeare duck anyone?) cannot damage the capacity of the poems and plays to be worked through again and again.

Squeaky talks about her love of running. It is her special talent and she is proud of all the hard work she has put into being a better runner. She expresses disdain for people who pretend that they do not practice their talent or skill, and who prefer to have others believe that it is “easy” for them. Write a journal entry about your special talent or skill. Describe how you practice to become better at your skill. Does it come naturally, or do you have to work hard to achieve success?

Your response should be about 150 words.

I played softball for 5 years. When I was younger, I loved to throw the ball around with my papa. When I got older, I tried playing softball and it was fun. I made a lot of new friends playing softball. It was fun to play with kids my age. The first thing we practiced was someone throwing the ball to me and me throwing it back to them. A few times when I practiced at home with my mama, I hurt her hand because I threw it so hard. We also practiced grounder ball which was when someone hit the ball and I had to stop it on the ground.  We also used a pitching machine when I got bigger to help me practice hitting balls at a faster speed. Lastly, I practiced running all of the bases as fast as I could. If I did not practice as I did, I would have never gotten good at playing softball. Even if something comes naturally, you should always practice because no one is perfect.

Ever since Sam had moved to the mountains, he had an interest in exploring caves. He had always been adventurous. Sam was small, but strong and stubborn.

Sam and his friend always went exploring caves together. They knew it was safer to explore with a friend than to go alone. Besides it was more fun. They had recently discovered a new cave opening, and plans were made to spend the next day exploring it.

When Sam arrived to pick up Harry, he found Harry sick with mumps. Harry would be at least two weeks getting well. Sam knew the winter snow would begin to fall soon and close the opening of the cave. Should he risk his safety and explore the cave? He couldn't stand the thought of waiting until spring to see the cave, so off he went.

Once inside, Sam found the cave to be all he had hoped for. The cave was large enough inside for him to stand and seemed to go back a long way. As he began making his way further in, Sam suddenly slipped and found himself on his back, drenched in an ice-cold pool of water. As he moved to get on his feet, a searing pain ran up his leg. Sam had sprained his ankle, and he could not climb out of the pool. "Why did I come alone?" he groaned.

Not long after, he heard a familiar voice calling from the cave entrance.

"Sam! Are you in there?"

"Yeah," Sam yelled back, "Ritchie! Is that you?"

"Yeah," shouted Ritchie, "Are you all right?" Ritchie made his way inside the cave towards Sam's voice. In the dim light, he could see Sam sitting in the pool. "What are you doing in that pool. It's cold in here."

Sam felt strong arms help him to his feet. "I fell in and sprained my ankle. How did you know I was here?"

"Harry knew you would try it alone", explained Ritchie, "so he gave me directions to the cave to make sure you were all right. It looks like it's a good thing I came when I did!"

Wrapped in a blanket and safe outside, Sam was sure he would never go exploring alone again.
