Compare and contrast biblical creationists and evolutionists worldviews.

Answers

Answer:

The beginning of the earth, along with the birth of humans is one of the biggest and most contentious issues among creationists and evolutionists. Scientific theory holds the opinion that the universe is eternal, while the Bible states that there is a beginning. It has been proven that there was an official beginning; the question that arises is when that exact beginning took place, a time where there was neither time nor space nor matter. Christianity uses the Old Testament to describe the beginning of life. In the span of six days, God created the heavens, the earth, the sun, moon, water, animals, and ended with the finalé of human beings. Other major events such as Noah’s flood occurred along the lifespan of the earth, accounting for the distribution of fossils and the formation of the earth’s layers Evolution is defined as “the development by natural causes of all organisms, those today and those yesterday, from other forms probably ultimately much simpler and originally perhaps from non-living substances. According to evolutionists, the earth began approximately 4.5 billion years ago, with the explosion of life beginning around 55 million years ago. To evolutionists, the starting of life began as inorganic molecules that underwent a natural transformation (through electricity or heat) to become organic molecules. These building blocks joined to form macromolecule chains that eventually made up organisms.

LITERARY ANALYSIS: Where are you from? seems like a question with an obvious answer, but the answer is clearly more complicated according to the essay's author, Naomi Sepiso. How does Sepiso respond to this question? What supporting evidence does she include to develop her controlling idea? Write a RACECECE response in which you are using 3 pieces of evidence from the essay to support your analysis.

story: ‘So where are you from?’ They always asked that question; a subtle reminder that she was not one of them.

‘What do you mean?’ she asked. They only asked that question when they were afraid of placing her into a box. As though they were giving her the option of which box she wanted to climb into.

‘Well… you’re obviously not from here… I mean… you live here, but where are you from… like, originally?’

There it was. Originally. The word suggesting that she cannot validate her sense of belonging to this place. The implication being that her ‘exotic’ genetic makeup excludes her from her right to belong to this land.

She gave the long pre-rehearsed answer they often dug for. They love a good story. She told them where her mother came from, where her father came from. She told them how her parents met in a land far from their own where she was born. She told them of how they moved around from town to town and across the ocean to a place that sometimes felt like ‘home’. They smiled. Happy endings always leave a crowd feeling good.

What she doesn’t tell them is how she feels her pre-rehearsed response drag up her throat, as though she didn’t pick the right words from those that whirl at the bottom of her stomach in response. She doesn’t tell them that being born out of her mother’s country makes her a foreigner to a land she could have called home. Or that her official documents are marked with the Coat of Arms of a land she never felt safe in. That she cannot have conversations with the grandparents she has not seen in years because her tongue will always stumble over the nuances of languages that never fit quite right.

Sometimes she felt tired of being watered down to belonging to a foreign location on a map. To being a friend that made someone else a little more ‘cultured’ by simple association. As though everything else she had to offer became lacking in value every time someone asked her the question.

She was not someone from a place. She made a home of kind words and warm feelings. Her soul became a safe nest deep inside the confines of her body.

‘What is the value of a land I come from. We are all of this land. We came the same way and we leave the same way.’ By the time the words fought their way out of her mouth everyone else had moved on.

One day they would come to understand, she thought. She was not the land of her mother and father. She was her own country, with her own history of civil wars, revolutions, healing and growth. One day they would learn to keep their boxes away from her. One day they would see that she will never, ever, fit.

I need some help form my besties. I have this persuasive essay I have to write and I need help writing a counter argument of why children should have phones(in general). It needs to be why children shouldn't have phones. Please help!!m I have ten minutes until this class is over!!!

Answers

Answer:

Students Shouldn't have phones because first they can be a distraction in class, they can cause students to harm themselves, and they can hurt others.

When students have their phones in class they can easily get distracted with games, social media, and more. If they don't do there work because of this they will fall behind and there grades will drop.

It can also cause student to harm themselves, students like to be caught up with the newest things and that means social media. Student may see people that look better than them and get upset. To comfort themselves they will try to lose weight, try to self harm, and can go into depression.

The last reason students shouldn't have phone's is because they can post harmful images, or words on social media that may hurt other students or people. These can hurt other people a lot and the student posting it can get in a lot of trouble for that.

Well theses are the three reasons students shouldn't have a phone. Phones  can be a distraction in class, cause students to harm themselves, and they can hurt others.

Read the following excerpt from Susan B. Anthony's speech "On Women's Right to Vote" and think about the persuasive methods Anthony uses.
It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union. And we formed it, not to give the blessings of liberty, but to secure them; not to the half of ourselves and the half of our posterity, but to the whole people - women as well as men. And it is a downright mockery to talk to women of their enjoyment of the blessings of liberty while they are denied the use of the only means of securing them provided by this democratic-republican government - the ballot.

This is kinda urgent lol, blueberry signing out

Answers

Answer:

true

Explanation:

Possessive phrases are diagrammed in the exact same way as single-word possessives.  The statement is True.

What are Possessive phrases?

Words that indicate who or what something belongs to are said to be possessive. When using a compound word or phrase, the possessive is formed by adding an apostrophe and a -s to the final word.

A singular possessive noun signifies a single individual, location, or thing that has ownership over or ties to another part of the phrase. They need an apostrophe and an "s to complete their possessive form.

The same design is used to represent possessive phrases as it is used for single-word possessives. In order to use the possessive form, an apostrophe and the letter "s" must be added.

Therefore, the statement is True.
