Task A.
label the sheet of paper academic text (if the essay contains features of academic writing),and non-academic text (if the formed essay does not contain features of academic writing.)

Answers

Answer 1

Task A requires us to label a sheet of paper as either an academic text or a non-academic text based on the features of academic writing. An academic text usually contains a formal tone, an objective perspective, and uses specialized vocabulary and citations to support arguments.

On the other hand, a non-academic text is more informal, subjective, and often written in a conversational style with limited or no references.

To determine if a text is academic or non-academic, we need to analyze the language, structure, and content of the essay. An academic text will have a clear introduction, body, and conclusion with a thesis statement that outlines the main argument. It will also use evidence from credible sources and avoid personal opinions and emotions.

On the other hand, a non-academic text may lack structure, use slang or colloquial language, and include personal anecdotes and experiences. It may also have a more persuasive tone and use emotional appeals to convince the reader.

In conclusion, labeling a sheet of paper as academic or non-academic requires a careful analysis of its features, structure, and language. By considering these factors, we can accurately determine the type of text and its intended audience.

Not less than 450 words White an article for publication in the daily newspape, on a topic "not all that glitters is gold"

Answers

Not All That Glitters Is Gold

We often hear the phrase "all that glitters is not gold" in our daily lives, but do we truly understand its significance? The phrase implies that not everything that appears appealing on the outside is necessarily valuable or trustworthy. This statement holds true in almost every aspect of life, from relationships to the things we buy.

In this world, we often judge people based on their appearance, wealth, and status. We tend to believe that a person with a luxurious car, a grand house, and designer clothes is happy and content with their life. But the truth is, these material possessions do not define happiness or contentment.

We often overlook the fact that a person's happiness is not dependent on their possessions, but rather on the relationships they have with others. A wealthy person may have everything they desire, but they may not have someone to share their life with, and as a result, they may feel lonely and unhappy.

Moreover, the things we buy are not always a reflection of their true worth. We are often deceived by brands that charge us more for their products just because of their name, while the quality of the product may be inferior. For example, a designer bag may be worth thousands of dollars, but its quality may not be any different from a bag that is sold at a fraction of the cost. The label on the bag may be attractive, but it does not necessarily mean that the bag is better.

Similarly, we often judge people based on their professions, thinking that people in higher positions are more successful than those in lower positions. However, success cannot be measured by a person's job title or salary. Success is measured by how happy and fulfilled a person is in their life, regardless of their profession.

In conclusion, we should not be deceived by what we see on the outside. We should focus on the things that truly matter in life, such as relationships, happiness, and contentment. Material possessions and appearances can be deceiving and do not necessarily define a person's worth or success. It is essential to remember that not all that glitters is gold.

A. It describes teenagers' reactive and short-sited nature that could result in them making poor decisions.
B. It emphasizes how angry teenagers are and how they are constantly looking for an excuse to lash out at someone
C. It shows how self-absorbed teenagers are and their refusal to think about doing right by anyone but themselves.
D. It describes teenagers' self-conscious nature and their willingness to prove themselves to others through criminal acts.

Answers

The list (paragraphs 11-18) helps us understand why teenagers might commit crimes by highlighting their reactive and short-sighted nature, acknowledging emotional turbulence, and addressing the developmental challenges they face.

The list of paragraphs 11-18 provides valuable insights into why teenagers might commit crimes. It is important to note that the reasons behind criminal behavior among teenagers are complex and multifaceted, and cannot be generalized to all individuals.

However, the list offers some potential factors that can contribute to teenage delinquency.

Firstly, the list describes teenagers' reactive and short-sighted nature, which can lead to poor decision-making. Adolescence is a period of significant physiological and psychological changes, often accompanied by impulsivity and a limited ability to foresee long-term consequences. This can result in teenagers making impulsive choices without fully considering the potential ramifications, thereby increasing their vulnerability to engage in criminal activities.

Secondly, the list does not solely focus on anger but acknowledges the emotional turbulence that teenagers experience. While anger can be a contributing factor, it is essential to avoid generalizations that suggest all teenagers are constantly seeking excuses to lash out. Rather, the list highlights the emotional volatility that can impact decision-making processes and increase the likelihood of engaging in criminal behavior.

Furthermore, the list does not suggest that teenagers are inherently self-absorbed or have a refusal to think about doing right by others. Such generalizations would be unfair and inaccurate. Instead, the list focuses on the developmental stage of adolescence, where teenagers often grapple with their self-identity, seek peer acceptance, and may succumb to external pressures.

This can manifest in behaviors aimed at proving themselves to others, which could include involvement in criminal acts.

In conclusion, the list (paragraphs 11-18) helps us understand why teenagers might commit crimes by highlighting their reactive and short-sighted nature, acknowledging emotional turbulence, and addressing the developmental challenges they face.

It is crucial to approach this topic with nuance, recognizing that individual circumstances, environmental factors, and personal experiences also contribute to teenage delinquency.

Manipulation of weaknesses is the main reason for the tragedy/ injustices in Othello?

Answers

Answer: The manipulation of weaknesses is certainly one of the main reasons for the tragedy and injustices that occur in Shakespeare's play "Othello."

Throughout the play, several characters, most notably Iago, manipulate the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of others in order to achieve their own goals. Iago's manipulation of Othello's jealousy and insecurity, for example, leads to the tragic events that unfold in the play. Similarly, Iago manipulates Cassio's desire to regain his position and reputation, leading him to take actions that ultimately harm both himself and others.

In addition to these individual instances of manipulation, there are broader societal forces at play in the play that contribute to the injustices that occur. For example, the racist attitudes held by many of the characters, including Othello himself, contribute to the tragic outcome of the play. Similarly, the patriarchal society in which the play is set leads to the mistreatment of women, such as Desdemona, who is unfairly accused and punished based on the false accusations made against her.

Overall, while there are many factors that contribute to the tragedy and injustices in "Othello," the manipulation of weaknesses is certainly a key factor that drives the plot forward and leads to the tragic outcome of the play.

Why have mating quill and parchment given human attributes in John darmani’s : scribbler’s dream

Answers

In John Darmani's "Scribbler's Dream," mating quill and parchment have been given human attributes to convey a deeper meaning and add a metaphorical layer to the story.

The quill and parchment symbolize the relationship between the writer and the written word, and by anthropomorphizing them, the author is able to explore the complex and intimate connection between the two. The quill, with its sharp tip and flowing ink, becomes a stand-in for the writer, imbued with human-like qualities of thought and intention.

The parchment, meanwhile, takes on a receptive and passive role, symbolizing the written word and all it represents. By depicting the quill and parchment as "mates," Darmani is able to explore the interdependence between the writer and their creation. The quill cannot exist without the parchment, and the parchment is incomplete without the quill's touch.

Overall, the anthropomorphization of the quill and parchment in "Scribbler's Dream" serves to underscore the deep connection between a writer and their work. By personifying these objects, Darmani is able to explore the complex interplay between creativity, intention, and the act of writing itself.

Answers

The correct answer is "the resource allocation would be 20lbs of compost and 40 lbs of sewage; total cost $1.95".

How to solve

In linear programming, we minimize the cost function subject to the constraints.

The constraints are that compost should be at least 30 lbs, sewage should not exceed 40 lbs, and the total weight should be at least 60 lbs.

The cost function with the original costs is 0.05compost + 0.04sewage.

With these constraints, the minimum cost solution is 30 lbs of compost and 30 lbs of sewage, with a total cost of $2.70.

If the cost of sewage is reduced by $0.02, the new cost function is 0.05compost + 0.02sewage.

The new minimum cost solution is 20 lbs of compost and 40 lbs of sewage, with a total cost of $1.95.

So the correct answer is "the resource allocation would be 20lbs of compost and 40 lbs of sewage; total cost $1.95".

What is the articles hypothesis about aggression in women? Discuss the type of aggression women show and why?

Answers

Answer:

The hypothesis about aggression in women is that they exhibit a different type of aggression than men, and that aggression in women is often underestimated and overlooked. Research has shown that women are less likely to engage in physical aggression than men, but they are more likely to engage in relational aggression, which involves using social manipulation, gossip, and other tactics to harm others' social relationships and status.

There are several reasons why women may engage in relational aggression. One reason is that women may be more concerned about their social relationships and reputation than men. They may use relational aggression to defend their social status, to gain power or influence, or to retaliate against someone who has threatened their status.

Another reason is that women may face more social constraints on their behavior than men. They may be discouraged from using physical aggression or direct confrontation, and may be more likely to use covert tactics such as gossip or exclusion to assert themselves.

Overall, the hypothesis about aggression in women suggests that women exhibit a different type of aggression than men, and that understanding and addressing this type of aggression is important for promoting healthy relationships and social dynamics.

On A Cold Day
I
The morning Asima jumped from her seventh-storey balcony it was especially cold. The city lay
in the grip of a cold wave which made this December an unusually cold one. But the day was not
grey or overcast. Instead, a hard white light encased the city in a crystal jar, under which black
bare branches of trees clawed upwards for air, the outlines of houses looked sharply defined
and silent, and the smoke from their chimneys wispy and thin, struggled under a pale blue sky.
The white cold light fell on Asima, as indifferently as on the phone booth, the pizza store and the
sequined models in the shop windows. There she lay, sprawled on the sidewalk, quite close to
the curb, with red Iiquid oozing out of the back of her head, and from under her face, which was
in profile. This blackish red liquid must have been warm because as it in contact with cold air, it
smoked. The light caught this smoke as well, and Asima's face was visible through its
shimmering haze.
