Celebrities also post phots of them showing skin and looking amazing and teens tend to compare themselves and bring down their self esteem and confidence. In a 2019 study of more than 12,000 13-16-year-olds found out that using social media predicted poor mental health and well-being in teens. Other studies also have observed links between high levels of social media use and depression or anxiety symptoms.
