what government job george washington
George Washington served as the first president of the United States of America from 1789 to 1797. As a young man, he worked as a surveyor and later was the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War.
George Washington, who showed promise in math as a teenager, found early professional success in the field as a surveyor. He was able to start buying land of his own after earning enough money from surveying treks into the wilds of Virginia.
Despite his lack of military experience, in December 1752, Washington was promoted to lead the Virginia militia. While serving in the Virginia militia, he saw battle during the French and Indian War, which led to his promotion to command. In 1759, Washington quit his job, went back to Mount Vernon, and ran for and won a seat in the Virginia House of Burgesses, where he stayed until 1774.
In the late 1760s, Washington saw firsthand how the escalating taxes imposed on American colonists by the British were hurting their ability to survive, and he came to the conclusion that independence from England would be beneficial for the colonies. In 1774, Washington attended the First Continental Congress in Philadelphia as a delegate. The American Revolution had officially begun by the time the Second Continental Congress met a year later, and Washington had been given leadership of the fledgling Continental Army.
Once the Treaty of Paris, was signed between Britain and the United States in 1783, Washington, feeling he had done his job, resigned as commander of the army and went to Mount Vernon, where he planned to resume his life as a gentleman farmer and family man. His fortunes changed, however, when in 1787 he was appointed to lead the committee tasked with writing the new constitution at the Constitutional Convention held in Philadelphia. He led the convention so effectively that the participants unanimously elected him as the nation's first leader.

Answer: Here it is
The Balkan War was caused by a combination of ethnic tensions, economic competition, and political ambition.
The unification of Germany and Italy was led by strong leaders, driven by nationalism, economic, and military factors and completed in 1871 and 1861 respectively.
South American countries opposed the idea of an American union due to fears of losing sovereignty and being dominated by northern nations, as well as longstanding rivalries and conflicts between the countries.
Emperor Tewodros II's decline was caused by resistance to his expansion policies, poor diplomacy, failed modernization efforts, and increasing authoritarianism.
The Portal mission, led by British diplomat Gerald Portal, aimed to resolve border disputes between Ethiopia and Italian colony Eritrea; the Gordon mission, led by British general Charles Gordon, aimed to negotiate with Emperor Yohannes IV of Ethiopia; the Heweet treaty, signed in 1884, established the border between Ethiopia and Italy.
The Battle of Adwa was a decisive victory for Ethiopia over Italy, which had a psychological impact on the people of Ethiopia and served as a reminder of African resistance to colonialism.
Lij lyasu, an Ethiopian regent, played a significant role in modernizing Ethiopia's military and improving diplomatic relations, centralizing the government, and preserving Ethiopia's autonomy during the Scramble for Africa.
Empress Taytu faced challenges from the Shewan nobility and Ras Michael due to her efforts to centralize the government and modernize the country.
Diarchy rule, a system of government where two people jointly hold power, was used in Ethiopia during the late 19th and early 20th centuries but it was not effective in preventing conflicts and struggles for power.
The kingdom of Harar, Shewa, Wolayita, and Kaffa were all powerful and independent kingdoms within Ethiopia known for their religious and cultural significance, military strength, agriculture, and trade respectively.

American Sentiment in the Current Day—Describe the American public’s support of the Iraq War and War on Terror in the current day. What caused this change in support?Make a strong point of comparison to the American public’s support of the Vietnam War to America and the War on Terror today.
Answer:
Support for the Iraq War and War on Terror among the American public has declined significantly in recent years due to the prolonged conflicts, high number of American casualties and lack of clear victory.
Explanation:
Support for the Iraq War and the War on Terror among the American public has declined significantly in recent years. In the early 2000s, when the wars were first launched, there was strong support among Americans for the decisions to invade Iraq and to fight against terrorism. However, as the wars have dragged on, with no clear end in sight, and with a high number of American casualties, public support has waned. Additionally, the lack of weapons of mass destruction and the subsequent instability in Iraq and the region have also contributed to the declining support.
A strong point of comparison to the American public's support of the Vietnam War is that, similarly to the Vietnam War, the Iraq War and the War on Terror have become increasingly unpopular among Americans as the conflicts have dragged on with no clear victory in sight and with high numbers of American casualties. Additionally, in both conflicts, the lack of clear goals and objectives, and the subsequent lack of progress towards achieving them, have contributed to the decline in support.

Life for African Americans during the Civil War and Reconstruction. Describe life during both of these periods, putting more focus on the Reconstruction Era. What role did African Americans, both slaves, and freemen, play in the Civil War for the North and the South? Who were some of the leading African American figures? Discuss the challenges faced by African Americans during the Reconstruction period.
During the Civil War, African Americans, both slaves and freemen, played a significant role for both the North and the South. For the North, African American men were recruited to join the Union army, with some 180,000 enlisting by the end of the war. They faced discrimination and were often paid less than white soldiers, but the opportunity to fight for their freedom and that of their families was a powerful motivation. For the South, slaves were used as laborers and to support the Confederate war effort, but were not allowed to fight.
In the Reconstruction Era, African Americans faced many challenges as they navigated the transition from slavery to freedom. They had to contend with discriminatory laws and violence from white supremacists, as well as economic obstacles such as lack of access to land and education. Despite these challenges, many African Americans were able to establish themselves as farmers, business owners, and political leaders. Some of the leading figures of the time include Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, and Hiram Revels, the first African American senator.
During the reconstruction period, African Americans were actively involved in the politics, they formed political parties, established schools, and built churches. However, they faced a lot of resistance from the white Americans and the Ku Klux Klan. It was a time of difficulty and uncertainty for African Americans but they were making progress towards freedom and equality. The reconstruction period was a crucial step towards the progress of the African American community but it was not without its challenges and setbacks.

the opening of two Japanese ports to foreign tradethe creation of a US consulate in JapanWhy did the United States consulate Matthew Perry go to Tokyo Bay?In an effort to restart regular commerce and communication between Japan and the west after more than 200 years, American Commodore Matthew Perry led his four ships into the harbor at Tokyo Bay on July 8, 1853.
Perry was not the first Westerner to visit the islands, despite the fact that he is frequently attributed with introducing the west to Japan. In the 16th and 17th centuries, traders from Portugal, Spain, and the Netherlands often transacted with Japan.
The majority of foreigners were expelled from Japan in 1639 as a result of Europeans' persistent attempts to convert the Japanese to Catholicism and their propensity for exploitative trade tactics. Japan only allowed Dutch and Chinese ships with special charters to conduct commerce throughout the two centuries that followed.
