Why doesn't gun legislation work?

Can you please help me write a 600 word narrative essay about the NFL New York Giants. (This is due by next Sunday)

Answers

Answer:

There are many problems in America that do need our utmost attention and must be resolved as soon as possible. None of which are as important as that of the New York Giants' ongoing pace of mediocrity. The post-Parcells era has left Giants fans drooling for and craving a solid Giants football team. Not once have fans been confident in any New York football Giants team since the days of the Big Tuna, which is about 10 years ago. This is a long drought for a New York Sports team. What can be done?

First and foremost, the Giants have had offensive problems ever since they lost the great coach Bill Parcells. He is Jesus to the New York Giants franchise. His disciples included Coach Bill Belichick, Phil Simms, Lawrence Taylor, Mark Bavarro, Joe Morris, OJ Anderson, Dave Meggett, Steven Baker, Carl Banks, and several others. Now, no one is asking for the stellar and almost unbeatable Giants teams again. That does not come around too often. However, can we produce a team on the field that at least mirrors the talent of those players. We need leaders, and top talented players such as those to help produce on the field. Enough of reminiscing on how great those players and coaches were, lets get to the bottom of this.

Do not get me wrong, I love Jim Fassel, the current Head Coach of the New York Giants. However, I do not think he is the answer to the Giants woes on the field. He came to the Giants as an inexperienced head coach and has limited playoff experience. I also do not believe he has the experience to draft solid talent, which leaves this in the hands of the weak Giants front office. Fassel is supposed to be the QB guru, and I have yet to see a top notch QB step on Giants field other than those of the other teams the Giants are facing. Maybe, Fassel should be reduced to being just a QB coach, and work with his QB's than being the head coach. Perhaps he is lacking the "oomph" that is needed to spark your NFL football team on Sundays. What should the Mara's(the Owners) do? Find a new Head Coach.

Secondly, the Giants need to work on their drafts. I am sick of seeing small impact players get drafted. Other teams bring in players that step on the field their first year and make an impact throughout all of the NFL.

Whats the main idea?
9. (1) On most days, we are surrounded by faces. (2) In a public place, our eyes flicker automatically to the faces around us. (3) We instinctively look for information, clues about other people's thoughts and feelings. (4) And yet, beyond the most obvious impressions (we recognize the person; we find the person attractive), faces tell us next to nothing. (5) As the poet William Blake wrote, "The human mask is forged in iron." (6) Glancing at the faces of strangers, we cannot begin to guess what turmoil or ecstasy is hidden behind those carefully composed features. (7) There may be the despair of mental illness, or the relief over a friend's healing; the trauma of lost employment, or the excitement of a promotion; the heartbreak of a spouse's betrayal, or the joy of new love; the anguish over a suffering child, or the delight of an eagerly anticipated pregnancy. (8) Some of the people whose faces surround us have wakened that day wondering how they could possibly go on, how they could survive another day of crushing internal pain. (9) Others are moving through the day joyful, filled with elation. (10) But their features, transformed into iron masks, betray none of this. (11) We move by one another silently, curiously looking for evidence that is not there.

Answers

The main idea is that while we instinctively look to faces for clues about other people's thoughts and feelings, faces only reveal the most obvious impressions and often betray nothing of the emotions and experiences hidden behind carefully composed features.

What is the main idea?

The important point is that although we naturally scan other people's faces for cues about their thoughts and feelings, faces typically only provide the most overt impressions and conceal the emotions and experiences that lie beneath skillfully sculpted features.

People may be going through great emotional pain or joy, but these emotions are hidden by their looks, which are like "iron masks."

One day, Jack was traveling to a nearby town when he came across an old man who was struggling to cross a fast-flowing river. Without giving it a second thought, Jack offered to help the old man, who gratefully accepted his help.

As they continued their journey, the old man shared his life story with Jack. He was a wise man and imparted valuable lessons to Jack about the importance of being kind and helping others. What do you mean by Timid?

Timid indicates "overly careful or scared," just like a timid driver who travels on the highways very slowly or doesn't go there at all.

The word timid, which means "easily terrified, shy," is derived from the Middle French word timide. People who are timid frequently worry that things won't go as planned. For example, a timid eater orders bland food to avoid the possibility of disliking the flavor of something new, just as a timid partygoer converses with people he knows rather than approaching strangers out of fear of failing to make small talk.

Compare the situation of women in the united states today with that of women in cavendish's society. Support your comparison.

Answers

Answer:

In an effort to combat the severe restrictions that society imposed on women in 17th-century England, Margaret Cavendish authored "Female Orations." Women's lives were restricted to taking care of the home, receiving no formal education, and being unable to own property or use their right to vote.

Explanation:

In today's United States, women have made tremendous progress in terms of equal rights and opportunities in comparison to the society depicted in Cavendish's works. In Cavendish's society, women were largely seen as inferior and were expected to obey their husbands and remain in their domestic roles. Women were rarely given any opportunities to enter politics or other professional roles and any power they had was largely delegated to them by men.

In contrast, women in the United States today enjoy a wide range of rights and freedoms that were not available to them in Cavendish's time. Women can vote, pursue higher education, and take on professional roles that are well-compensated in comparison to their male peers. Furthermore, issues such as sexual harassment and domestic abuse are now taken seriously and addressed with appropriate legal measures.

Overall, there has been a significant shift from the gender roles established in Cavendish's society towards more egalitarian gender roles in the United States today. Women now have greater freedom to choose their career paths and are no longer confined to traditional roles of wife and mother. This has resulted in more opportunities for women to pursue their ambitions and make meaningful contributions to society.

Consider the essay “A Necessary Protection.” Does this essay change your thinking about the press? If so, how? Is there a connection between unnamed sources and “fake news”?

Answer: In general, the essay "A Necessary Protection" may argue for the importance of protecting the confidentiality of sources in journalism. The protection of sources is considered necessary because it allows journalists to gather information and report on important issues that may not otherwise be revealed to the public. Without this protection, sources may be discouraged from speaking out and the public may not be informed about important events and issues.

In regards to the connection between unnamed sources and "fake news," the use of unnamed sources can be a contentious issue in journalism. On one hand, unnamed sources can provide valuable information to journalists and help shed light on important issues. On the other hand, the anonymity of sources can make it difficult to verify the accuracy of their information, which can lead to the spread of false information and "fake news." Therefore, it is important for journalists to carefully vet their sources and consider the credibility of the information being provided.

Instead of exclusively selecting players who were hand-selected by the conductor, several orchestras opened up their employment procedure to a variety of applicants. These modifications have led to the majority of orchestras hiring new performers after roughly three live or recorded audition rounds: preliminary, semi-final, and final.
