I feel annoyed most of the time. I only live with my dad because my mom and dad are divorced and my dad has custody for me but most of the time he blames me for stuff I didn't do and he is just really rude and is never really home. He usually blames me for stuff my 2 younger sisters did(samantha: 7 and megan: 11 and im 12) and my older sister mia(shes 13) and he's always comparing me to my oldest sister maya(shes 14) because she lives with our grandma and grandpa(mom's parents) and goes to private school. He also gets mad at me because I don't talk or like my stepmom(caroline:30) and my dads 33 I believe? He and caroline have a son whos 4 months and I don't really talk to him because he lives with our stepmom and I hate caroline a lot one of the reasons being that she had her baby shower on my birthday and my dad gave me 40 dollars the next day but didn't say sorry and neither did she and they could have done it any other day! Paragraph 1 Although it has never regained the popularity it held in the 1920s, the pogo stick has never stopped being made and sales have remained relatively steady. However, the pogo stick has gone through several changes. In 1947, Mr. Hansburg designed a new type of steel pogo stick with a longer-lasting spring, and, as recently as 2001, an American company came out with an air-powered pogo stick made from aircraft- grade aluminum. Time Magazine voted this version of the pogo stick to be a “retro favorite” and one of the best inventions of 2001. Paragraph 2 Surely you have seen a hula hoop. Many people think that the hula hoop was invented in the 1950s. However, the hula hoop is an ancient toy. No company and no single inventor can claim to have invented the first hula hoop. The ancient Greeks used hooping as a form of exercise. In the past, hoops were made from metal, wood, bamboo, grass, and even vines. Paragraph 3 The materials to make yoyos have changed. Early yoyos were made of wood, metal, and clay. Today many yoyos are made of a durable plastic. Few people know that yoyos were the first toy to travel to space. In 1985 and again in 1992, NASA sent yoyos on its space shuttles.

What was Gregor's job BEFORE he became a salesman?
a)He worked on a train.
b)He's always been unemployed.
c)He sold cloth.
d)He was in the military.
Answer: Gregor Samsa wakes in his bed and discovers he has transformed into a giant bug. Wondering what has happened, he looks around his small room, where everything appears normal. He sees the fabric samples that he uses in his job as a traveling salesman, a picture of a woman in furs that he tore out of a magazine and framed, and the rain dripping down outside his window. He tries to roll over and go back to sleep in order to forget about what has happened, but because of the shape of his back, he can only rock from side to side.
Feeling sore from his effort, Gregor thinks about what a difficult job he has and the fact that his constant traveling prevents him from making any lasting friendships. He thinks that he would leave his overbearing employer but he has to work off a debt that his parents incurred. He suddenly realizes that he has overslept and does not have a good excuse to give his boss.
Graphic Novels on BN: Romeo & Juliet
Gregor’s mother reminds him that he has to catch his train to work. When Gregor responds, he finds his voice has changed. His father and Grete, his sister, join his mother at the door, urging him to get up and unlock it. Gregor twists and rocks, managing to turn sideways and dangle off the bed. Then the doorbell rings. It is the office manager, come to check on Gregor. Gregor rocks his body violently and finally tumbles to the floor. His family and the office manager come to the door to inquire if he is all right.
Gregor’s mother pleads with the office manager, telling him what a devoted worker Gregor is, while Grete cries in the next room. The office manager calls through the door and demands an explanation. He hints that Gregor’s recent work has not been satisfactory and that Gregor’s current behavior looks very bad, especially in light of rumors that Gregor may have stolen money from the company. Gregor claims that he had a dizzy spell and asks the office manager to spare his parents any undue concern. While Gregor tries to lift himself off the floor, the office manager and his family discuss the strange change in his voice, and his sister leaves to fetch a doctor and a locksmith.
