Researchers claim that 60 tissues is the average number of tissues a person uses during the course of a cold. The company who makes Kleenex brand tissues thinks that the claim is untrue, but is not sure whether the average is greater than or less than 60. What are their null and alternative hypotheses?

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

H0 : μ = 60 and H1 : μ ≠ 60

Explanation:

H0 : μ = 60 and H1 : μ ≠ 60

Where ;

H0 = the null hypothesis

μ = mean value

H1 = alternative hypothesis

The null hypothesis is our initial assumption, which is the claim that the average number of tissue used during the course of a cold is 60.

The alternative hypothesis will look to negate the null hypothesis, which is to establish that the mean number of tissues used during the course of a cold is not 60, meaning it could be less or more.

Answers

Well, Confucianism originated in China; therefore, the answer would obviously be Buddhism.

Answer:

Buddhism

Explanation:

Confucianism originated in China in roughly 479 BCE. Confucianism was founded by a philosopher named Confucius. Some people believe that Confucianism isn't even a religion, since there aren't any gods. Many people say it is better described as a philosophy.

Therefore, the answer can't be Confucianism, because it isn't a religion and it did not originate in India in 500 BCE.

The answer must be Buddhism. Buddhism is a religion founded by the Buddha: Siddhartha Gautama. It originated in India in about the fifth or sixth century BCE. It has millions of followers around the globe today.

Why would the Black Death have helped the end of manorialism, and why would the Hundred
Year's war and plague weaken medieval society? Why might the Black Death have shaken
people's confidence in the power of the Church?

Answers

Answer:

The answer to the question is given below.

Explanation:

Western Europeans were not too closely connected to such a healthy social as well as moral culture just after Black Death. With heightened social stress, servants described manor rulers as well as some attacked medieval customs. The Black death scare has intensified the back in the middle ages as well as the beginning of the new world in Western Europe.

Joan carried the arms of his knights as well as declared war on the French. He guided French troops as well as gained valuable successes over the English.

Many people have been killed by hunger and illness. Folks such as farmworkers, royals, rulers, and businessmen. People depended on such humans for food, for products shipped or for nobles and rulers. The medieval company weakened without them.

The church was struck by Black death. For eg, England lost approximately 40% of all its priesthood. The church became obliged to recruit illiterate people. This supports the Campaign for Church Reform.

In the cartoon, what is the most likely effect of the woman's actions on
the business cycle?*
increased unemployment
increased production
decreased interest rates
decreased inflation

Answers

The correct answer is B) increased production.

In the cartoon, the most likely effect of the woman's actions on the business cycle is increased production.

In the cartoon, we can see that the author depicts the mother opening the door of her apartment and she is holding many shopping bags as she enters the place. His son jumps, screams, and shouts "Mom bailed out the retailers!" On the other side of the room, the father is seated on his chair and suddenly turns his head over the mother's entrance, knowing he will have to pay for everything the mother bought. The father is reading a newspaper whose main title reads "recession."

So increased production is the most likely effect of the woman's actions on the business cycle.

Describe two ways that you can tell from which directions the winds are blowing.

Answers

Answer:

1. Wet finger.

2. Hang a small piece of clothe in a pole.

Explanation:

The two ways that one can tell from which direction the winds are blowing are:

1. Wet finger: Dip your index finger in the water and let it get wet. Now put  your finger up and a little further from your body so that your body wouldn't block the wind. The side of your finger that feels cool is the direction where the wind is blowing. If you have a compass, you can also determine the direction of the wind whether it is blowing from the east, west, north or south.

2. Hang a small piece of clothe in a pole: One can simply tie a small piece of clothe like handkerchief, a small piece of rag, to a pole with a thread on each end and hang it upwards. The direction where the piece of clothe is blown can help in determining the direction of the wind.

Answers

Answer:

The concept of social contract or consensus may play a vital role in deterring the development of might is right situation in the absence of a constitution.

Explanation:

Constitution is a collection of basic principles and establishments that guides a state to govern itself. Its absence does not necessarily mean chaos or development of might is right situation in a state.As societies come together and develop a consensus among the people through the process of social contract, they leave behind many anti-societal elements such as might is right, killing, looting, etc., for the common good of all.The presence of a constitution is important in running or governing an efficient state. However, societies that came together initially came under a consensus and, therefore, most of the anti-societal elements were discarded from the beginning.The concept constitution developed slowly in time as the need for social, economic and political development became more important. Today, it acts as a guardian of a state and governs the people and state according to its principles and contents.

In two paragraphs explain what have you learned about yourself while in quarantine?

Answers

Quarantine has really been a sudden change for everyone, it’s something our generation never even imagined we would experience. There have been many challenges for everyone, including myself. In these last couple months I’ve had many challenges, the first being away from my friends. I’m a very social person who relies a lot on my friends for my mental health and being an extrovert isn’t helping me at all in quarantine. These two months have made me want adventure and fun times more than I already did before and to be honest, I really just want to see my friends. During this time I’ve had so much time to think about what I’m missing out on. I’m missing out on the excitement of the end of the year, the traditions I’ve had with my friends, and much more. It’s weird, I’m still in the mindset from two months ago, I don’t feel like school is ending, I don’t feel like its summer. Also, when quarantine started I had no motivation, I slept in a lot and I missed a lot of my classes, it really does show what quarantine did to my mental health. Everything feels like its flying by so fast, yet moving so slowly at the same time.
Though things have been tough, there have been many good things that have come out of this for me. The first being, I have a sleep schedule now. During the school year, I was getting up at ____, staying at school until ____ and then going home and doing homework, it really wasn’t fun, I would end up going to school tired and I wouldn’t learn anything, I would just slave away but now that it is quarantine, I can wake up at a regular time. Now I have time for my hobbies, I’m actually starting to buy stuff and —-insert hobby—! I’m also —-another hobby—- and —-hobby—- now and then. Quarantine has actually not been that bad, because of it I’ve been more on top of my classes, I’ve been focusing more on my mental health, and I’m feeling much better compared to when school was actually in session.
